Wawee Bistro #2: Mama’s Kitchen

Wawee has now launched its 2nd project! Wawee Bistro by Mama’s Kitchen. It’s opening was on Saturday 18, 2017 and is located at the Wawee Headquarters and the Saturday morning location of Homemade Market. It’s a beautiful location with lots of parking space, indoor seating with air conditioning and for those that love the feel of nature, they have a patio where large trees provide plenty of shade to keep you fresh.

Wawee Bistro by Mamas Kitchen is a Punjabi-influenced kitchen with Thai influences filled with plenty of flavors and spices there is sure something on the menu here for everyone. Nina, the cook behind all the dishes, lived in Pakistan for many years and has over 20 years of cooking experience with Pakistani and Punjabi style foods. She’s owned a couple of small food stalls at the food courts. But now thanks to a partnership with Wawee bigger goals are on the horizon. Expects to see Pakistani classics like Chicken Tikka Masala and twists on modern western staples like Paninis. I was lucky enough to sample some of the dishes on hand. The rice was fragrant and savory; the curries were risqué and full of gusto, combined with the freshly made naan, I was in bliss.

The venture of Mama’s Kitchen and Wawee Bistro is a direct result of the unique relationship and eye and taste for gifted cooks at Homemade Market. Since its inception, it has helped foster local chefs and has seen this talent open their restaurants. After it’s first successful launch of Wawee Bistro by Andrew’s Kitchen, who had received high feedback for his delicious breakfast dishes, I think we can expect to see future more from Wawee and Homemade Market in the future.
