Poo Oung is a Northern Thailand dish that is made from freshwater crabs that live in the rice fields. The local crab use to be very small but they crossbred with a larger crab and have now started to come out bigger. This is a dish that is popular during the rainy seasons in Northern Thailand its eaten with sticky rice mostly, but a lot of people do love to eat with spaghetti also.
